Royal Society Newton International Fellowships 2025
Applications are now open for the prestigious Royal Society Newton International Fellowships, aimed at supporting outstanding early-career researchers in developing independent research careers through international collaboration. Eligibility
To qualify, applicants must:
- Be based outside the UK and not hold UK citizenship.
- Hold a PhD by the start of the fellowship.
- Have no more than seven years of full-time postdoctoral experience.
- Not have lived, worked, or conducted research in the UK for more than 12 months before the deadline (short visits under three months are excluded).
- For those who completed their PhD in the UK, they must have worked outside the UK for at least one year by the application deadline.
Application Process
- Expression of Interest (EOI): Submit your EOI here (https://www.physics.ox.ac.uk/research/research-funding-support/fellowship-applications/postdoctoral-level-fellowships/royal-1) to [email protected], including:
- CV (noting career breaks and part-time work).
- List of publications/outputs.
- One-page research project summary.
- A statement (max. 200 words) on the benefits of the fellowship to Oxford, the UK, and UK research.
- Confirmation from your Oxford Physics sponsor.
- Full Proposal: Submit via the Flexi-Grant portal by 18 March 2025 after receiving University approval.
Deadline
- EOI Submission Deadline: 20 January 2025
- Full Proposal Deadline: 18 March 2025
- Fellowship Start Date: September 2025.
