This prestigious scholarship, valued at $10,000, is designed to help senior school graduates of 2024 achieve their diploma of choice and pave the way for their dream degree and career.

The Class of 2024 Scholarship is a non-academic, merit-based award. Its primary goal is to support students by providing financial assistance, enabling them to focus on their studies and achieve their educational and career aspirations.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must:

  • Be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident, or New Zealand Citizen.
  • Be eligible for admission into a Griffith College Diploma.
  • Be a new student who has not studied at Griffith College in any previous study period.
  • Have successfully completed Year 12, or expect to complete Year 12 in 2024 from an Australian high school.
  • Have applied (either via StudyLink or QTAC) to commence a Griffith College Diploma, with planned progression into Griffith University.

Note: The scholarship is not available for students pursuing a Diploma of Health Care.

Application Process

Applicants are required to submit a scholarship application form (https://www.griffithcollege.edu.au/how-apply/scholarships/class-of-24), which includes a personal statement addressing the following categories (maximum 300 words each):

  1. Personal Qualities: Discuss your potential to achieve at college and university, any personal, sporting, or community achievements, community involvement, ability to overcome adversity, and your interests and drive.
  2. Impact of Scholarship: Explain how this scholarship and studying at Griffith College would impact your life and assist you in achieving your current and future goals.
  3. Study Goals: Outline your choice of study area and future study progression goals.

Shortlisted applicants may be asked to provide additional information or documentation to verify their eligibility and may be required to attend an interview with the Scholarship Selection Committee. The scholarship’s value is $10,000, with $1,250 deducted from the tuition fee of each of the eight courses in the diploma program. Payment is subject to the recipient satisfying scholarship terms and conditions.
