About the Fellowship
The fellowship, funded by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Office (FCDO), provides selected fellows the opportunity to immerse themselves in the academic excellence of Oxford, focusing on health policy research that aligns with the UK government’s Global Health Framework. This six-month programme is crafted to support research that contributes significantly to the ongoing dialogue surrounding health and social policy reform in China.
Programme Highlights:
- Conduct and complete a research paper of up to 10,000 words on a topic aligned with UK-China collaborative health policy areas.
- Benefit from academic and pastoral support at the University of Oxford and attend lectures and seminars as a Visiting Fellow.
- Explore topics such as Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR), infectious disease control, healthy ageing, climate change and health, and more.

Eligibility Criteria
To apply, you must:
- Be a citizen of China, currently residing there, and intend to return upon completion.
- Hold a postgraduate qualification (or equivalent relevant professional experience).
- Have 5+ years of significant professional experience or be a current PhD candidate (with restrictions on UK/EU or US universities).
- Meet Chevening’s non-eligibility conditions related to dual nationality and employment with specific organisations.
- Adhere to the Chevening programme’s expectations and guidelines.
