These prestigious scholarships are designed for outstanding international graduate research students seeking to pursue their Master of Research (MRes) or Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Australia.

About the Scholarships

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:
- Be citizens of a country other than Australia or New Zealand and not hold Australian permanent residency.
- Intend to reside in Sydney during their candidature.
- Plan to undertake full-time research in Session 2, 2025.
- Meet the English language and academic requirements for Macquarie University’s MRes or PhD programs.
- Have completed their degree by the time of application (new criterion for 2025).
- Secure confirmation of supervision from an eligible Macquarie University researcher (mandatory for specific faculties).
Applicants will not be eligible if they:
- Are enrolled in a progressing Macquarie program or have commenced studies prior to 1 January 2025.
- Receive equivalent full scholarships or major awards.
- Provide incomplete or misleading application information.
