About the Kiwiplan Scholarship

The Kiwiplan Scholarship is a generous award established in 2000 by Kiwiplan, a leading IT company specializing in computer systems for the paper packaging industry. The scholarship aims to support talented students in the fields of Computer Science, Information Systems, and Software Engineering, helping them to excel in their studies and prepare for successful careers.

Eligibility Criteria:

To be eligible for the Kiwiplan Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

Enrollment Status:

    • Currently enrolled in Stage II of a BSc or Year Three of a BAdvSci(Hons) in Computer Science or Information and Technology Management; or Part III of a BE(Hons) in Software Engineering; or an associated conjoint degree.
    • Enrolling in the final year of the relevant degree program in the following year.

Academic Excellence: A minimum GPA of 6.00 (5.50 for Māori and Pacific candidates).

Additional Requirements:

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong verbal and written English language skills.
    • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
    • Demonstrated project management and problem-solving skills.
    • A self-starter attitude with a keen interest in software development for manufacturing industries.
