Eligibility Criteria
1# Application Target

- Must be a non-Chinese citizen in good health.
- Must demonstrate strong academic and behavioral performance.
2# Degree Requirements

- For the pre-college program: Applicants must have a high school diploma and be under 23 years old.
- For the undergraduate program: Applicants must have a high school diploma and be under 25 years old.
3# Language Requirements

- Applicants must meet the Chinese language proficiency requirements of their chosen major.
- HSK Level 3 holders who don’t meet the major requirements can apply for a 1-year pre-college program with a full scholarship.
Shanghai Government Scholarship Coverage
There are two major types of Shanghai scholarships offered at East China Normal University in 2025 as described below:
1# Type A (Full Scholarship)
