University of Auckland High Achievers Scholarship 2025

The University of Auckland offers an exceptional opportunity for international students with high academic potential to study in New Zealand through its International Student Excellence and High Achievers Scholarships. Established in 2016, this scholarship is designed to attract talented students from across the globe who wish to pursue undergraduate or postgraduate studies at Waipapa Taumata Rau, University of Auckland.

Scholarship Overview

  • Scholarship Name: University of Auckland International Student Excellence and High Achievers Scholarships
  • Tenure: One year
  • Value: Up to $10,000 towards tuition fees
  • Number on Offer: Up to 50 scholarships awarded annually
  • Applicable Study: Undergraduate degrees, Postgraduate Diplomas (PGDip), or Master’s programmes at the University of Auckland.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must:

  • Be an international student (neither a citizen, permanent resident, nor a resident visa holder of New Zealand or Australia).
  • Be either: a new student with a conditional or unconditional offer of admission to an undergraduate or postgraduate program, or an English Language Academy (ELA) student or a Summer Start International program participant who has received an offer of admission.
  • Enroll full-time in an undergraduate degree, PGDip, or master’s programme at Waipapa Taumata Rau, University of Auckland.
  • Have an equivalent Grade Point Equivalent (GPE) of at least 6.00 for consideration.

Note: Students who have previously studied in New Zealand, or are enrolling in certain business master’s programs, are not eligible for this scholarship.
