The University of Western Australia (UWA) is excited to introduce the Global Excellence Scholarship, designed to reward and attract outstanding international students from across the globe. If you’re planning to commence your studies in Semester 1, 2025, you could be eligible for scholarships valued at up to AUD$48,000* for undergraduate programs or up to AUD$24,000* for postgraduate programs.
Key Scholarship Benefits:
- Undergraduate Programs: Receive up to AUD$48,000* over four years or up to AUD$36,000* over three years, depending on the duration of your course and academic achievements.
- Postgraduate Programs: Benefit from up to AUD$24,000* over two years of study.
The final value of the award will be determined by the applicant’s equivalent Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) or UWA Weighted Average Mark (WAM).
Scholarship Details:
- The Global Excellence Scholarship offers an annual tuition fee reduction for the full-time duration of the recipient’s course, as specified in their offer letter.
- Eligibility for the scholarship is based on achieving a minimum ATAR of 85.00 for undergraduates or a minimum WAM of 65.00 for postgraduate applicants. Higher scholarships may be awarded for greater academic excellence.
- Combined Bachelor’s and Combined Bachelor’s & Master’s degree candidates are also eligible, with the potential to receive up to AUD$60,000* over five years for select courses such as Engineering and Commerce combinations.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Open to students from all countries who have received an offer to study an eligible undergraduate or postgraduate degree at UWA for Semester 1, 2025.
- Undergraduate applicants must be applying for an eligible bachelor’s degree or Assured Pathway course (excluding Medicine and Dental Medicine).
- Postgraduate applicants must be applying for an eligible coursework degree (excluding Juris Doctor, Doctor of Medicine, Doctor of Dental Medicine, and Doctor of Optometry).
