This scholarship is designed to assist those enrolled in full-time programs at the prestigious Camberwell College of Arts, Chelsea College of Arts, or Central Saint Martins. If your passion lies in creating three-dimensional art, this scholarship could be your pathway to furthering your studies and advancing your sculptural practice.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for this scholarship, you must:
- Be accepted into one of the following full-time programs starting in September 2024:
- MA Fine Art: Sculpture at Camberwell College of Arts, University of the Arts London (UAL)
- MA Fine Art at Chelsea College of Arts, UAL
- MA Fine Art at Central Saint Martins, UAL
- Have a practice focused primarily on producing three-dimensional objects.
- Demonstrate financial need, as the scholarship aims to support students facing financial hardship.
About the Cecil Lewis Sculpture Scholarship
Launched in 2007 by art collector and UAL graduate Cathy Wills, the Cecil Lewis Sculpture Scholarship honors Cathy’s father, a lifelong enthusiast of sculpture. Cathy’s goal has been to provide financial support to emerging sculptors, allowing them to complete their studies and fully explore their artistic potential.
Since its inception, this scholarship has helped over 20 sculptors in their postgraduate journeys, offering them the financial backing needed to push the boundaries of their work.
Application Process
To apply, students must fill out an online application form, providing details about their financial situation and sculptural practice. The scholarship will be assessed based on both financial need and academic merit. Home students may receive contributions towards both tuition fees and living expenses, while international students will receive contributions towards tuition fees only.
