This prestigious scholarship is designed to support disadvantaged, community-minded students aged 16 to 25 from rural or regional Australia who have secured a full-time place at an Australian TAFE.

TAFE Scholarship Benefits

The Bendigo Bank TAFE Scholarship covers a wide range of study-related expenses to ensure you have everything you need for academic success:

  • Accommodation Costs: Assistance with rent to ease financial stress.
  • Course Fees: Financial support for your tuition fees.
  • Study Resources: Textbooks, computers, and other essential materials.
  • Tutoring: Access to extra academic help if needed.
  • Education-Related Travel: Travel within Australia for study purposes.

Each scholarship recipient will receive $5,000 per year for up to two years, or for the duration of their course (whichever is shorter).

Eligibility Criteria

To apply, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Be 16 to 25 years old (under 18 requires parental/guardian consent).
  • Have completed at least Year 10 and left secondary school.
  • Be a resident of rural or regional Australia.
  • Have been offered a place or enrolled in an approved full-time course at an Australian TAFE institute.
  • Be studying on-campus, off-campus, or online, with a course duration of at least 26 weeks.
  • Demonstrate a passion for supporting rural communities and show evidence of community involvement.

Eligible Courses

The scholarship supports full-time or competency-based completion (apprenticeships) in the following:

  • Certificate I, II, III, or IV
  • Diploma
  • Advanced Diploma
  • Associate Degree.
