ASBA Scholarship Categories and Benefits
You can avail any of the following 3 ASBA scholarships available in 2025:
1# ASBA Freshman Scholarships

- Award Amount: $2,500 (Four scholarships, one per Arkansas congressional district).
- Eligibility: Sons, daughters, or legal wards of publicly elected Arkansas school board members who served during the 2024-2025 academic year.
- Selection Criteria: Academic performance, leadership potential, and additional qualifications outlined in the application process.
2# Marshall Hughes Memorial (Freshman) Scholarship

- Award Amount: $5,000 (Honoring Marshall Hughes, a former Beardsley Public Finance employee).
- Eligibility: Statewide winner selected from the ASBA Freshman Scholarship applicants.
3# J.K. Williams Memorial Scholarship

- Award Amount: $2,500 (Honoring former ASBA Executive Director J.K. Williams).
- Eligibility:
- Publicly elected Arkansas school board members, their spouses, children, grandchildren, or legal wards.
- Applicants must be college juniors or higher pursuing a degree in education at an Arkansas institution.
- Board members must have served during the 2024-2025 school year.
