Hungarian Summer University Scholarships 2025 for Foreign Students
The Tempus Public Foundation, supported by the Hungarian Government, invites international students, graduates, and professionals to apply for the Hungarian Summer University Scholarships 2025. This scholarship offers an opportunity to gain advanced knowledge in Hungarian language, Hungarian studies, and thematic (non-linguistic) courses during summer university programs in Hungary.
Duration of Scholarship: The scholarship supports 2–4 week-long courses during the summer of 2025. Scholarship recipients must stay in Hungary for the entire course duration.
Benefits
The scholarship covers:
- Participation fees: Includes course tuition, accommodation, and meals.
- Courses offered: Options range from Hungarian as a foreign language, Hungarology, to thematic courses.
Note: Travel expenses to and within Hungary, as well as return expenses, are not included in the scholarship.
Eligibility
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Citizenship: Be from a country with a bilateral agreement with Hungary (e.g., Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Egypt, etc.). Alternatively, individual applications are open to citizens of over 40 countries, including USA, UK, Germany, India, Japan, and more.
- Age Requirement: Applicants must be at least 18 years old at the time of application.
- Exclusions: Hungarian citizens (including dual citizens) and certain categories, such as permanent residents or refugees in Hungary, are ineligible.
Application Process
- Online Application: Applications must be submitted through the Tempus Public Foundation online application system: apply.diasporascholarship.hu. Create an account, upload all required documents, and submit the application.
- Multiple Options: Applicants can select up to two (02) course preferences but will only be admitted to one course.
