Henan Government Scholarship Coverage
For Architecture, Urban & Rural Planning, Civil Engineering, Tourism Management:
- Top 20 students in each major → Full tuition scholarship
- Other admitted students → Pay only 5,000 RMB/year
For Pharmacy, Software Engineering, International Trade & Economics:

This means scholarship covers the major portion of tuition, reducing financial burden significantly.
Programs Not Covered by Scholarship: MBBS, BDS, Anesthesiology, and Medical Imaging (tuition: 35,000 RMB/year).
Program Duration
The duration of programs at Zhengzhou University varies by discipline. Professional medical tracks such as MBBS, BDS, Anesthesiology, and Medical Imaging require 6 years of full-time study. The Architecture program is structured as a 5-year degree due to its comprehensive design and technical components.
All other English-Medium Instruction (EMI) bachelor programs, including Pharmacy, Civil Engineering, Software Engineering, International Trade, Tourism Management, and Urban & Rural Planning, are completed over 4 years.
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must:
- Be non-Chinese citizens, aged 18–24
- Hold a high school diploma (or BSc degree for some programs)
- Provide IELTS 6.0 / TOEFL 82 or be from an English-speaking country
- Score 70%+ in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology
- Be in good health & provide non-criminal record.
Those who do not meet entry requirements may join foundation programs:
- Medical Foundation (1 year, starts September)
- Science & Engineering Foundation (1 semester, starts March)
- Business & Management Foundation (1 semester, starts March)
Students from foundation programs get priority for bachelor admissions & scholarships.
Application Timeline
For the 2026 intake at Zhengzhou University, applications for bachelor programs will be accepted from January to June 2026, with two rounds of selection during this period.
Students who wish to strengthen their chances through preparatory studies can apply for the pre-degree or foundation programs, which run from November 2025 to January 2026.
