What Participants Will Actually Work On?

Interns supporting the Youth Engagement and Entrepreneurship Hub will assist with youth participation strategies, entrepreneurship initiatives, workshops, mentorship activities, advocacy content, and engagement with the Young People’s Action Team.

Those joining the Global Solutions Hub will contribute to UNICEF’s Learning to Earning agenda, support strategic planning activities for the 2026–2029 period, prepare technical resources, and help create knowledge products such as reports, blogs, webinars, and peer-learning materials. Research, trend analysis, meeting coordination, and programme support form part of both placements.

The internship is conducted remotely, making it accessible to applicants from a wide range of countries who may not be able to relocate to a UN duty station.

Who Has the Strongest Chance of Selection?

UNICEF is seeking candidates who are currently enrolled in a graduate programme or who have completed one within the last two years. Relevant academic backgrounds include international relations, political science, education, business, entrepreneurship, monitoring and evaluation, and related disciplines.

Competitive applicants are expected to demonstrate a genuine interest in youth development, public policy, international development, or humanitarian initiatives involving adolescents and young people. Fluency in English is mandatory. Knowledge of another UN language—including Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, or Spanish—can provide an additional advantage during the selection process.
