Where Will CLMCE Take You?

CLMCE combines study in Glasgow, Aarhus and a third European destination. Semester three options include Tilburg in the Netherlands, Nantes in France or Wroclaw in Poland. Your route affects the degrees awarded; preferred destinations are not guaranteed.

The curriculum examines children’s literature and media alongside cultural entrepreneurship, publishing and reading promotion. A placement with a practitioner organization connects academic study with professional activity.

What Does the CLMCE Scholarship Actually Pay?

The living-cost scholarship totals up to €33,600 over two years, alongside tuition and travel insurance. Students can receive €1,400 monthly or choose advance payments deducted from the same total, reducing subsequent monthly payments. Advances are not extra funding.

You arrange and pay for travel, visas and accommodation using your available funds and scholarship. The advertised capacity of up to 90 awards covers four intakes, not 90 places for 2027 alone. Previous EMJM scholarship recipients cannot receive another EMJM scholarship.

Does Your Degree and English Evidence Fit CLMCE?

You need a UK upper-second-class honours degree, or its international equivalent, in an accepted subject. These include English, modern languages, literature, history, film and media within arts and humanities, childhood studies, anthropology, sociology, library and information studies, or arts/humanities education.

IELTS is one accepted route: Duolingo requires 120 overall, writing 120 and other components at least 110. Certain qualifying degrees from majority-English-speaking countries or UK universities’ overseas campuses can replace a test under Glasgow’s conditions. An English-medium degree alone does not establish an exemption.
