Eligibility

  • Enrollment: Must be a matriculated full-time UW undergraduate student pursuing a bachelor’s degree at UW Bothell, Seattle, or Tacoma campus.
  • Full-Time Status: Must remain a full-time undergraduate student during the award period (minimum of 12 credits during the year, one credit during summer quarter).
  • Previous Awards: Students who have received the same type of Mary Gates scholarship twice are not eligible to apply for a third award of that type. A maximum of three Mary Gates Scholarships (Research and Leadership combined) can be received.
  • Additional Funding: If you have other scholarships or stipends supporting your leadership activity, you may not be eligible to receive the full amount of this award.
