AQHF Scholarship Program 2025 (American Quarter Horse Industry)

The American Quarter Horse Foundation (AQHF) is now accepting applications for its prestigious AQHF Scholarship Program. This program aims to support passionate members of the American Quarter Horse Association (AQHA) and the American Quarter Horse Youth Association (AQHYA) who are committed to advancing the American Quarter Horse industry through the three pillars of leadership development: Competence, Commitment, and Character.

Scholarship Benefits

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the AQHF Scholarship Program, applicants must:

  • Be members of AQHA or AQHYA.
  • Demonstrate involvement and dedication to the American Quarter Horse industry.
  • Exhibit outstanding leadership, communication skills, and a commitment to the development of the industry.
  • Meet the academic achievement and financial need criteria specified for the scholarship they are applying for.
  • Provide proof of membership in their state affiliate (for state or regional scholarships).

Application Process

  • How to Apply: Applicants need to complete a single application here (https://aqhfoundation.smapply.io/prog/aqhf_scholarship_program/) that assesses their eligibility for various scholarship opportunities based on individual criteria and donor requirements.
  • Required Documents:
    • Completed application form, including financial information.
    • Resume detailing experience and involvement in the Quarter Horse community.
    • Three reference letters or appraisal forms.
    • Official transcript.
    • Proof of membership in the state affiliate for state/regional scholarship applicants.

The American Quarter Horse Foundation’s Board of Trustees, in collaboration with a selection group, will review and recommend recipients based on academic achievement, financial need, involvement with Quarter Horses, and leadership qualities. Final approval is granted by the Board of Trustees.

Application Window: Opens on October 15, 2024, and closes on January 15, 2025.
