Brunel University CEDPS Academic Excellence Scholarship 2025

Brunel University London has officially opened applications for the College of Engineering, Design & Physical Sciences (CEDPS) Academic Excellence Scholarship 2025/6, a prestigious award aimed at supporting high-achieving students in STEM fields. This scholarship provides financial assistance to students commencing full-time undergraduate courses within the College of Engineering, Design & Physical Sciences.

Scholarship Value & Duration

  • Amount: £2,000 per year
  • Duration: Up to three (03) years for full-time courses
  • Restrictions: Not payable during a placement year in a sandwich course or the Master’s year of an integrated Master’s degree programme.

Who Can Apply?

To be eligible for the CEDPS Academic Excellence Scholarship, applicants must:

  • Hold an Unconditional Firm (UF) offer for a full-time undergraduate course within the College of Engineering, Design & Physical Sciences at Brunel University London.
  • Commence studies in the upcoming academic year (deferral students will be considered in the year they start their course).
  • Achieve or exceed one of the following qualifications:
    • A Levels: AAB or above
    • International Baccalaureate (IB): 33 points or above
    • BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma: DDD* or above
    • Scottish Advanced Highers: AAB or above
    • Higher Irish Leaving Certificate: H2, H2, H2, H3, H3 (or AAABB under the pre-2017 grading system).

Applicants going through UCAS Clearing can still be considered, provided they update their details with the Student Loans Company (SLC) by 4th October 2025.

Maintaining the Scholarship

To retain the CEDPS Academic Excellence Scholarship throughout the academic years, students must maintain an upper Second-Class (2:1) profile at the end of Year 1 and Year 2.

Application Deadline: Scholarship allocation begins in July 2025, and the final award assessment will conclude on 29 August 2025. Awards will be confirmed by the Scholarship Allocation Panel by late September 2025, following the publication of the UK A-Level examination results.
