CSC Yokohama National University Joint Scholarship 2025

The Yokohama National University (YNU) and China Scholarship Council (CSC) are inviting applications from Chinese students and researchers for the prestigious CSC-YNU Joint Scholarship Program 2025. This program offers fully funded opportunities for doctoral students, co-supervised doctoral study students, and visiting/postdoctoral fellows to study or conduct research at YNU. With no application, admission, or tuition fees, this program is a gateway to advanced academic and research experiences in Japan.


Scholarship Overview

The CSC-YNU Joint Scholarship Program, established under a Memorandum of Understanding in 2019, supports outstanding Chinese scholars aiming to pursue doctoral programs or conduct advanced research at YNU. The initiative is aligned with the Chinese Government Graduate Student Overseas Study Program, providing comprehensive support for selected candidates.

Scholarship Programs and Quotas

1# Doctoral Students

    • Quota: 5 students across various graduate schools.
    • Graduate Schools:
      • International Social Sciences
      • Engineering Science
      • Environment and Information Sciences
      • Urban Innovation

2# Co-supervised Doctoral Study Students

    • Quota: Approximately 10 students.
    • Same graduate schools as above.

3# Visiting Fellows/Postdoctoral Fellows

Research Period:

    • Visiting Fellows: 3–12 months
    • Postdoctoral Fellows: 6–24 months

Eligibility Criteria

  • Doctoral Students: GPA of 2.30 (out of 3.00) or above in a master’s program.

  • Ranking: Applicants ranked in the top 10% or 30% of their master’s program are preferred.
