Estimated total possible funding by programme (examples):

  • Data Science: up to 70,000 SEK
  • Solar Energy Engineering (2 years): up to 90,000 SEK

  • Business Intelligence: up to 35,000 SEK
  • Online master’s programmes: up to 40,000 SEK

The Choose Dalarna First Scholarship is awarded at admission, while Academic Excellence awards are granted during your studies when you meet performance criteria. There is no fixed number of awards announced, and Academic Excellence awards are guaranteed for all students who meet the academic requirements.


Eligibility Required to Apply

The scholarships are designed for motivated, fee-paying international students who demonstrate commitment and strong academic performance.

To be eligible, applicants must:

  • Apply for a master’s programme at Dalarna University starting in 2026 or later
  • Be a fee-paying international student
  • Rank a Dalarna University programme as first choice (for Choose Dalarna First Scholarship)

  • Meet admission and academic requirements for the chosen master’s programme
  • For Academic Excellence Scholarship:
    1. Complete 30 credits per semester
