Denmark Government Scholarships 2025 at SDU

The Southern Denmark University (SDU) invites applications for the Danish Government Scholarship 2024-2025. Benefits of SDU 2025 Scholarship

The Danish Government Scholarship at SDU offers two types of financial support:

• Full Tuition Fee Waiver and Grant: This covers the complete tuition fee and provides a grant to help with living expenses.
• Partial Tuition Fee Waiver: This covers the tuition fee for one year (second and fourth semesters). Students are required to pay for the first and third semesters. The waiver covers 30 ECTS per semester; additional courses are not included.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must:

• Be a non-EU/EEA citizen.
• Be enrolling in one of the following Master’s programs in Sønderborg: MSc in Engineering – Mechatronics, MSc in Engineering – Electronics, or MSc in Engineering – Mechanical Engineering.
• Demonstrate English proficiency comparable to the Danish B level in English. This can be proven through:
  • A secondary school leaving certificate (minimum 210 hours at high school level).
  • An IELTS score of at least 6.5.
  • A TOEFL score of 575/230/88.

Application Process

To apply for the Danish Government Scholarship, follow these steps:

1# Review Admission Requirements: Ensure you have a relevant Bachelor’s degree or equivalent. Check specific program requirements on the SDU website here https://www.sdu.dk/en/uddannelse/ansoegning-optagelse/kandidat-erhvervskandidat#submit_application.

2# Prepare Required Documents:

• • Application deposit fee receipt.
  • Official Bachelor’s transcripts and diploma in English, Danish, Swedish, or Norwegian, including grades and ECTS/units/credits.
  • Course descriptions for the courses on your transcripts.
  • Proof of English language proficiency.

3# Submit Your Application: Apply through the online application portal DANS (https://www.sdu.dk/en/uddannelse/fees_and_funding/scholarships), open from July 1, 2024 for the February 2025 intake. Ensure all documents are uploaded online, as emailed documents will not be accepted.

4# Interview Invitation: Qualified candidates will be invited to an online interview based on the grade point average of their Bachelor’s degree. You will receive an invitation by email once your application is processed. If you applied for multiple programs, the interview will be for your highest priority.
