Faculty of Engineering Scholarship 2025 at University of Sydney

The Faculty of Engineering at the University of Sydney is offering the Faculty of Engineering International Tuition Fee Research Scholarship to outstanding international students pursuing higher degree research (HDR) studies. This scholarship provides financial support to cover academic tuition fees and the Student Services and Amenities Fee (SSAF), making it an excellent opportunity for those aiming to excel in their research journey.

Scholarship Benefits

The scholarship offers the following benefits:

  • PhD Recipients: Coverage of academic course fees and SSAF for up to 12 research periods, with a possible two research period extension based on satisfactory academic performance.
  • Master’s by Research Recipients: Coverage of academic course fees and SSAF for up to four research periods. Note that no extension is possible for this program.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for this scholarship, you must:

  • Be an international student.
  • Get a unconditional admission offer for a full-time PhD or master’s by research program within the Faculty of Engineering, with an intent to transfer to a PhD after the first progress review interview.
  • Provide evidence that your stipend allowance is being paid by a third-party sponsor or is university-funded.
  • Apply for and be considered for a Research Training Program (RTP) Scholarship (International).
  • Not be the recipient of an RTP or equivalent primary scholarship that provides academic course fees.

Application Process:

  1. Apply for Admission: First, you must apply for a full-time PhD or master’s by research program within the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Sydney. Ensure that you have an unconditional offer of admission before proceeding.
  2. Apply for RTP Scholarship: Once you have applied for the program, you must also apply for the Research Training Program (RTP) Scholarship (International), which is a prerequisite for consideration for this scholarship.
  3. Express Interest: If you meet the eligibility criteria and have evidence of your stipend being paid by a third-party sponsor or university-funded, you can express your interest in the Faculty of Engineering International Tuition Fee Research Scholarship by contacting the Engineering HDR team at: [email protected].
