What is the IUPALS Scholarship?
The IUPALS (Italian Universities for Palestinian Students) scholarship program, originally designed to support Palestinian students, has now been extended as part of a wider initiative led by the Conference of Italian University Rectors (CRUI), in collaboration with the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Consulate General of Italy in Jerusalem.
The scholarships are designed to welcome highly talented international students for Master’s degrees at the University of Parma. They also include a mandatory Italian language and culture course starting from June to October 2025—giving you a chance to integrate smoothly into Italian academic and daily life.

Who’s Eligible?
To apply, you must:
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree qualifying you for a Master’s in Italy
- Be an international student who has never enrolled at the University of Parma
- Demonstrate English language proficiency (minimum B2 level) – tested during the interview
- Be willing to participate in the mandatory 5-month Italian language and culture course starting June 2025
- Submit only one application (students cannot combine this award with other scholarships).
The last date to apply for the IUPALS Scholarship at the University of Parma is 31 May 2025 at 12:00 PM (Rome time). And all applicants must register for the mandatory language and integration course by 23 May 2025.
