Who Should Apply?
This scholarship is designed for highly motivated individuals who:
- Hold a Master’s, Diploma, or State Exam degree in History, Education, or a social/cultural science with a strong historical focus
- Have completed a very strong academic thesis
- Possess excellent German language skills, along with proficiency in English
- Ideally speak an additional foreign language
- Are passionate about academic teaching, research, and interdisciplinary exploration

Your Role as a PhD Scholar
- Design and implement an independent doctoral research project in the field of history education
- Teach undergraduate courses and provide student guidance at the Institute of History
- Assist in organizing academic conferences, contribute to publications, and support research grant acquisition
- Actively participate in the university’s research debates and interdisciplinary dialogue.
