What is GCUB-Mob?

The GCUB International Mobility Program (GCUB-Mob) is a scholarship initiative launched by the International Cooperation Group of Brazilian Universities (GCUB). It provides international students with the opportunity to pursue Master’s or Doctoral degrees in Brazil—accompanied by monthly stipends and full tuition fee waivers—at renowned Brazilian Higher Education Institutions (HEIs).

With support from major international organizations like UNESCO, OAS, AUF, and UDUALC, this program fosters global academic cooperation, intercultural exchange, and development of high-level research across five continents.

Brasil GCUB Scholarship Package

Successful applicants for Master’s or Doctorate programs will receive:

  • Full tuition fee exemption
  • Monthly stipend Master’s: Up to 24 months, and doctorate: Up to 48 months
  • Access to university services, libraries, labs, and restaurants under the same conditions as Brazilian students
  • Support from Institutional Coordinators at each host university
  • No application fee.

Note: Health insurance, visa processing, travel costs, and living expenses between arrival and first stipend payment must be covered by the student.

Who Can Apply?

Eligible applicants must:

  • Be a citizen of a country with diplomatic ties to Brazil
  • Not hold Brazilian nationality
  • Be in good physical and mental health
  • Be able to cover costs not included in the scholarship (travel, visa, insurance, etc.)
  • Submit documents and essays in Portuguese, English, Spanish, or French
  • Choose up to five (05) Master’s or Doctoral programs at different HEIs across Brazil.

GCUB-MOB Scholarship 2025 Application Timeline

The timeline for the GCUB-Mob 2025 scholarship application process begins with the publication of the call and the opening of online applications on June 5, 2025. Students must ensure they complete their submissions by the application deadline of July 13, 2025.

The first phase, involving document consistency analysis, will take place from July 21 to August 1, 2025. This is followed by the second phase, where host universities evaluate applications for merit and admissibility between August 11 and September 6, 2025.

The final candidate classification will be carried out from October 13 to October 17, 2025, and the homologation of selected candidates by Brazilian universities will occur between October 20 and October 24, 2025.

Finally, the results of selected candidates will be published on the GCUB website on October 31, 2025.
