What Is the SPS Scholarship Program?
The SPS Scholarship Program is a prestigious, merit-based funding initiative that provides up to US$7,000 in financial support over three (03) years to highly motivated students passionate about signal processing. In addition to financial aid, it offers mentorship from top IEEE SPS leaders, free membership in year one (01), and international recognition via SPS platforms like newsletters and magazines.
Who Should Apply?
If you’re currently pursuing a degree in:
- Electrical Engineering
- Information and Communication Technology
- Computer Science
…at a full-time university or recognized community college with relevant coursework in signal processing — then you’re eligible! Both new applicants and renewing awardees must demonstrate academic excellence (minimum B GPA or equivalent), career intent in the SPS field, and have completed at least three relevant courses at the time of application.
New this year: Applicants must also be prepared to actively pursue internships, research projects, or SPS-led initiatives to qualify for renewal!

Application Timeline
The application period for the IEEE Signal Processing Society Scholarship Program is open and applications must be submitted by the final deadline of 30 June 2025.
Applicants will be notified of the results by 30 September 2025, followed by a confirmation and supplemental documentation deadline on 15 October 2025. Finally, the list of selected scholarship recipients will be officially announced in November 2025.
