Online applications for the partially or fully sponsored Chinese scholarships for Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctorate programs are currently open. Students from all states are welcome to apply for these scholarships with TOEFL/ IELTS scores and experience an innovative learning environment under these scholarships at Chinese universities.

Following is the list of some generous sponsorship programs offered by the Chinese government, the Provincial government, and prestigious universities of China to local and domestic students:

  • Confucius Institute Scholarship (CIS):

To promote Chinese culture and language, the very honorable Confucius Institute & the Chinese universities have announced CIS fully-funded programs for international students. Eligible students can apply for the Confucius Institute Scholarships for MS, BS, and diploma programs in different niches. However, the CIS programs require IELTS/TOEFL scores for 4-year BS scholarships & 1-year MS scholarships.

  • CSC Government Scholarships:

Next on our list is the fully-sponsored CSC scholarships, a great step by the government of China and Chinese institutions for underprivileged overseas students. The CSC scholarships are open for the Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctoral programs, offering dozens of exciting benefits to the selected winners. Meanwhile, the age limit to meet the eligibility requirements is 25 years for BS scholarships, 35 years for MS, & 40 years for Ph.D. scholarships.

  • Belt & Road Scholarships:

Students from the Belt and Road member countries can avail themselves of the golden opportunity and complete their higher studies at Chinese universities under this scholarship. On the other hand, the Belt & Road scholarships are open for BS, MS, & Ph.D. degrees in English-taught programs. However, IELTS or TOEFL scores are also mandatory for the one-year Belt and Road sponsorship programs.

  • Beijing Municipal Government Scholarships:

Like the government of China, the provincial government of Beijing is also providing financial aid to below-average overseas students via Beijing Municipal undergraduate and graduate partially/ fully-covered scholarships. Applicants for this scholarship will be selected based on their academic scores and interviews. Meanwhile, students already enjoying any other Chinese scholarship are not eligible for Beijing Govt Scholarships.

  • Shanghai Municipal Government Scholarships:

Next is the Shanghai Municipal scholarship offering partial or full tuition fee coverage to passionate overseas students. It is a joint venture of the Shanghai Municipal Government and Chinese universities. Meanwhile, only candidates with high GPAs, work experience, and good academic scores are the ideal candidates for such valuable scholarships.

The reputable Nanjing Municipal partial scholarships are the joint effort of the Municipal government of Nanjing & Nanjing University. Students outside China willing to pursue undergraduate, postgraduate, and non-degree programs in China can opt for these scholarships. On the other hand, it is a one-year scholarship for Undergraduate and postgraduate courses. However, for non-degree programs, the scholarship duration is of six months. Similarly, only non-Chinese students, abiding by the laws of the PRC and in good health, can apply for Nanjing Government scholarships.

  • CAS-TWAS (ANSO) Scholarships:

Researcher or a Doctoral student planning to carry out research activities in China, here is your chance. World Science Academy, in partnership with the Chinese Academy of Science, gives 200 CAS-TWAS scholarships to students in Science & Technology fields. However, for eligibility requirements, interested individuals must not be older than 35 years and hold the MS degree with Recommendation Letters and IELTS or TOEFL scores.

Schwarzman is a fully-funded scholarship by the renowned Tsinghua University of Beijing. Every year about 200 scholarships are awarded to Chinese and International students for MS degree programs in different niches. Meanwhile, IELTS/TOEFL scores are not needed for candidates who have completed previous undergraduate studies in an English medium institute. Similarly, Schwarzman is a 1-year scholarship with an age limit of 18 years.

  • University of Peking Scholarships:

The top-famous Peking University of China has also come forward to help financially challenged foreign students via various fully or partially sponsored scholarships, like CSC scholarships, CIS scholarships, and Peking Overseas scholarships with no IELTS requirements.

  • Nanjing University Scholarships:

Next, Nanjing University offers tuition-free education to international students under the Nanjing full or partially-funded scholarships for undergraduate and postgraduate degree programs. While studying here one can apply for the Jiangsu Government Scholarship, Nanjing Municipal Scholarship, Chinese Govt Scholarships, etc. However, it is necessary for the applicants to meet the language requirements via IELTS or TOEFL exam scores.

  • University of Tianjin Scholarships:

Lastly, Tianjin University with a wide range of funded scholarships for undergraduate and graduate degrees in different disciplines. Eligible ones can get their hands on the ASEAN scholarship, CGS-Bilateral Program, International student scholarship, etc., after submitting IELTS or TOEFL scores.
