Lithuanian Energy Institute PhD Scholarship 2025 Invites Applications

The Lithuanian Energy Institute (LEI) invites talented and driven graduates to apply for PhD studies in 2025, offering a unique opportunity to join cutting-edge research teams working to revolutionize energy systems and environmental solutions across Europe.

What You Get?

PhD students admitted to state-funded positions at the Lithuanian Energy Institute will receive a monthly scholarship of €1330 during the first year of study, which increases to €1540 per month in subsequent years. In addition to the scholarship support, students also have the opportunity to engage in additional research and employment roles within the institute, enhancing both their academic and professional development.

Students who have obtained a Master’s degree in the following disciplines are encouraged to apply:

  • Chemistry
  • Energy or Thermal Engineering
  • Electrical Engineering
  • Materials or Mechanical Engineering
  • Environmental Engineering
  • Natural Sciences
  • Economics.

These PhD programs are conducted in collaboration with Vytautas Magnus University, Kaunas University of Technology, and Klaipėda University, ensuring academic excellence alongside access to LEI’s advanced research infrastructure.

The primary application submission window for the 2025 PhD intake at the Lithuanian Energy Institute is open from 5 to 20 June 2025. For those who may miss this initial deadline, an additional admission period will be available from October to September, offering flexibility for late applicants or those finalizing their academic credentials.
