Poland Offers Fully Funded PhD Positions 2025 in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology & Biotechnology

What is the MAP-ID PhD Program?

The MAP-ID (Multilevel APproaches to understanding chronic Inflammatory Diseases) is a 48-month doctoral training program designed for passionate scientists who want to work at the cutting-edge of medical research. It brings together academia and industry across Europe and the USA to cultivate the next generation of experts in chronic inflammation.


International & Industry Collaboration

    • 9 in Europe
    • 3 in the United States – (Includes 6–9 month research secondments)

2# Biotech Industry Engagement:

  • 8 European biotech companies – (Includes 3-month industry secondments)

Allocated Funding Package for this Opportunity

PhD candidates will be hired under employment contracts that provide:

  • Full social security, health insurance, and pension rights
  • Paid holidays and professional support
  • Monthly net salary: Not less than 6,700 PLN
  • Monthly gross salary: Not less than 9,370 PLN
  • Total employer cost: ~2,800 EUR per month.

The electronic recruitment for the MAP-ID PhD program at Jagiellonian University is now open and will continue until June 30, 2025, at 10:00 AM CET. Successful applicants will begin their program on October 1, 2025, with an alternative second entry track available starting March 1, 2026. The PhD program runs for a duration of 48 months, ending either on September 30, 2029 (first track) or January 31, 2030 (second track).
