International mobility opportunities across Europe are expanding again as Sapienza University of Rome announces its Erasmus+ 2026–2027 call for studies. The programme enables students to study abroad at one of Europe’s leading universities for a semester or full academic year while receiving financial support and academic credit transfer.
Through more than 1,500 bilateral agreements with over 650 partner universities across Europe, Sapienza continues to remain one of the largest Erasmus+ mobility hubs. Approximately 2,000 Erasmus+ scholarships are available for the 2026–2027 academic cycle, allowing students to spend between 2 and 12 months at prestigious partner institutions throughout Europe, including CIVIS Alliance universities such as the University of Glasgow, University of Stockholm, Autonomous University of Madrid, Aix-Marseille Université, and the Free University of Brussels.
This Erasmus+ mobility call is designed for students who want to internationalize their academic journey, gain global exposure, and build cross-border academic and professional networks within Europe.
Erasmus+ 2026–2027 Scholarship Benefits and Offerings

Eligibility Criteria Required to Apply
The Erasmus+ mobility call is open to students seeking to enhance their academic experience through international study periods during their degree program.
- Must be enrolled as a student eligible for international mobility during the academic career
- Must meet academic requirements and remain in good academic standing
- Must apply for available destinations within Sapienza’s partner university network
- Must meet language proficiency requirements for selected host institution
- Students without a language certificate may take Sapienza Language Centre tests
- Must submit application within official deadlines and follow Erasmus+ mobility rules
- Students selected in first deadline cannot reapply in second deadline round
