The number of scholarships for 2026 is yet to be finalized. However, in previous years, up to four awards have been granted, typically covering key disciplines across the eligible master’s programmes.

The funding is initially awarded for one semester and is automatically extended for the full duration of the master’s programme if the student maintains satisfactory academic performance and complies with scholarship regulations. Beyond financial support, recipients gain the opportunity to study in Sweden within a strong industry-connected environment through collaboration with globally recognized partners IKEA and Södra. Scholars will also benefit from access to innovation-driven and sustainability-focused master’s programmes that enhance global career prospects.

Eligibility Parameters for Swedish IKEA and Södra Scholarship 2026

Applicants must meet academic admission and scholarship conditions to be considered. Only candidates who meet all eligibility criteria and apply on time will be reviewed.

To apply, you must:

  • Apply to one of the eligible master’s programmes as first choice via the national admission portal
  • Eligible programmes include:
    1. Innovation through Business, Engineering and Design (any discipline within the programme)
    2. Forestry for Green Sustainable Development
  • Submit your university application before January 15, 2026
  • Upload all required admission documents before February 2, 2026
  • Pay the application fee on the admission portal before February 2, 2026
  • Complete and submit the scholarship application form before the scholarship deadline
  • Meet all admission and scholarship regulations set by the university.
