Scholarship Details

Award: The UAL International Postgraduate £50,000 Scholarship covers tuition fees, accommodation at one of UAL’s halls of residence, and may contribute towards living costs. Each year, up to 4 talented students are selected to receive this prestigious award, making it one of the most substantial scholarships available at UAL.

Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for this scholarship, applicants must meet several criteria:

  • Academic Offer: Must hold an offer to study a full-time taught master’s course at UAL starting in the 2024/25 academic year. Eligible qualifications include Grad Dip, M ARCH, MA, MFA, MBA, MRes, and MSc.
  • Residency: Applicants must be ordinarily resident in one of the specified low-income economy countries. This includes a wide range of countries across continents from Afghanistan to Zimbabwe.
  • Income Requirement: The annual household income must be £25,000 or less at the point of application, with evidence required to support this claim.
  • Personal Statement: Applicants must submit a personal statement addressing how the scholarship would impact their studies, future plans, and their approach to challenges in their home country.
  • No Prior UK Postgraduate Degree: Applicants should not already hold a postgraduate taught qualification from the UK or an equivalent level qualification from abroad.

Application Process

Interested candidates should follow these steps:

  1. Secure an Offer: First, apply and receive an offer to study a full-time taught master’s course at UAL.
  2. Check Your Eligibility: Ensure you are from one of the qualifying countries and meet the other eligibility criteria.

  4. Apply for the Scholarship: Once you have your offer, apply for the UAL scholarship via the ‘my finance and funding’ tab on your UAL applicant portal starting in February 2024.
