110 Fellowships and 10 Scholarships 2025 by ICAO DCTP Announced
Big news has arrived for professionals in the aviation sector across developing countries—the ICAO Developing Countries Training Programme (DCTP) 2025 has officially opened its doors. This initiative, supported by ICAO in collaboration with partner countries, is one of the most prestigious training opportunities designed to build global aviation expertise and strengthen international cooperation.
Singapore–ICAO DCTP 2025–2026
Singapore has renewed its partnership with ICAO to deliver a new round of fellowships and scholarships from May 2025 to March 2026. This intake will provide:
- 110 Fellowships covering specialized aviation courses at the Singapore Aviation Academy.
- 10 Scholarships for full diploma programmes in civil aviation management and aviation safety management.
What the Fellowships Offer?
The fellowships will allow government-nominated officials to attend short-term courses in areas such as aviation security management, safety leadership, and aircraft accident investigation techniques. Each fellowship is fully funded, covering tuition fees, hotel accommodation, and daily allowances. Applications are processed course by course, with deadlines set 16 weeks before each course begins.
What the Scholarships Cover?
The scholarships are tailored for senior officials who are keen to pursue either a Diploma in Civil Aviation Management or a Diploma in Aviation Safety Management. Each scholarship covers course fees, accommodation, daily allowances, and up to three (03) return flights to Singapore. The diploma must be completed within three years.
Thailand–ICAO DCTP 2025
In addition to Singapore, Thailand is also playing an important role in this global initiative. The Thailand–ICAO DCTP 2025 will run throughout the year, from January to December 2025, and will provide 51 fellowships to professionals from developing ICAO member states. While the details of the specific courses have yet to be highlighted, these fellowships will similarly focus on advancing the skills needed to meet international aviation standards.
How to Apply?
Applicants must be nominated by their government’s civil aviation authority, as the programme is specifically tailored for officials working in the aviation sector. For Singapore’s fellowships, be mindful of individual course deadlines. In Thailand’s case, applicants should stay connected with their local aviation authority for nomination processes and timelines.
