University of Wyoming Brown and Gold Commitment Scholarship 2025
The University of Wyoming (UW) is excited to announce the Brown and Gold Commitment Scholarship 2025, an exceptional financial aid opportunity for first-time entering international freshman students. This merit-based scholarship program aims to support academic excellence and make higher education more accessible for international students.
Scholarship Benefits
The Brown and Gold Commitment Scholarship provides two award tiers based on the applicant’s cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA):
- $8,000 annually for students with a GPA of 3.4 – 4.0.
- $5,000 annually for students with a GPA of 3.0 – 3.39.
These scholarships are renewable for up to eight semesters (or until the completion of a first bachelor’s degree) and are funded through the generosity of UW Foundation donors and institutional aid. Awardees can focus on achieving academic excellence while benefiting from this financial commitment.
Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for the Brown and Gold Commitment Scholarship, applicants must:
- Apply for admission to UW and pay the $40 non-refundable application fee.
- Submit official high school/secondary school transcripts.
- Provide English proficiency test scores (TOEFL, IELTS, or Duolingo).
- Complete the UW Confidential Financial Statement.
- Confirm their enrollment by August 1, 2025, at 11:59 pm MDT.
Students who submit their final cumulative unweighted GPA by the first day of their incoming semester may qualify for an increase in their award level, subject to available funding.
Renewal Criteria
To maintain the scholarship, students must:
- Achieve a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA at UW.
- Enroll full-time with at least 12 semester hours during the fall and spring semesters.
- Successfully complete 24 credit hours each academic year.
