Many countries have updated their work visa requirements, and some now need additional documents. Here’s what you need to know.
1# United Kingdom
- Skilled Worker Visa If you’re applying for jobs in sectors like education, healthcare, or social services, you’ll now need to provide a criminal record certificate. This ensures safety and compliance in sensitive roles.
- Seasonal Worker Visa For seasonal workers, the UK now requires proof of sufficient funds to support yourself during your stay. A clean criminal record is also a must (Ref).

- Costa Rica Dreaming of Pura Vida? Costa Rica’s digital nomad visa now requires proof of a monthly income of $3,000. Make sure your documents are translated into Spanish.
- Colombia Colombia offers a two-year digital nomad visa, but you’ll need proof of a minimum monthly income of $885, a job contract or employment letter, and a $54 application fee (Ref).
- Belize Belize’s six-month visa requires an annual income of $75,000 (or $100,000 with dependents), a notarized banking reference, police clearance, and travel insurance (Ref).
5# Denmark
Fast-Track Scheme Denmark’s streamlined work visa process for certified companies now requires proof of employment, financial stability, and educational qualifications. Language proficiency certificates may also be needed (Ref).
