The University of Guelph is inviting top-performing international students to apply for its most prestigious undergraduate entrance award, the Dr. Franco J. Vaccarino President’s Scholarship, for Fall 2025. This highly coveted scholarship, valued at $42,500, celebrates academic excellence, leadership, and innovation.
Established in honor of the University’s eighth president, Dr. Franco Vaccarino, this scholarship is awarded annually to one outstanding international student. Along with financial support, the recipient will enjoy additional benefits, including a summer research assistantship position, mentorship by a leading professor, and guaranteed first-choice residence for the first year (subject to meeting the residence deposit deadline).
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for this prestigious award, applicants must:
- Be entering their first undergraduate semester at the University of Guelph.
- Be an international (VISA) student.
- Have not attended any post-secondary institution previously.
- Hold an admission average equivalent to at least 90.0% (Canadian curriculum).
- Demonstrate exceptional leadership and contributions to their school and community.
