British Council Women in STEM Scholarship 2025 Inviting Applications

The Women in STEM Scholarship Programme 2025, organized by the British Council in collaboration with top UK universities and research institutions, provides a transformative opportunity for women from eligible countries to pursue a one-year master’s degree in the UK.

Empowering Women Through Education

Since its inception in 2020, the programme has awarded over 300 scholarships, bridging the gender gap in science and technology and empowering women to become leaders in their fields. The initiative addresses alarming statistics highlighted by UNESCO, where:

• Less than 30% of the world’s researchers are women.
• Female enrolment in STEM fields remains critically low globally:
  • Information and Communications Technology – 3%
  • Natural Science, Mathematics, and Statistics – 5%
  • Engineering, Manufacturing, and Construction – 8%
