The UCL Humanitarian Scholarship 2025, offered by University College London, provides full financial support for displaced individuals or those at serious risk due to armed conflict to pursue a full-time Master’s degree. Benefits and Duration
- Covers full tuition fees and provides a maintenance allowance (approx. £20,000).
- Includes allowances for the Immigration Health Surcharge, visa fees, and one return flight.
- Scholarships are generally tenable for one year unless the program duration is two years.
- Cannot be held alongside other scholarships, studentships, or bursaries.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet all the following requirements:
- Be at serious risk as a direct result of armed conflict, or displaced within the last three years and seeking international protection outside the UK.
- Be eligible to pay the Overseas fee rate.
- Come from a lower-income background (as defined by UCL’s income guidelines).
- Not hold a qualification at the same or a higher level than the Master’s program applied for.
- Hold an offer of admission for a full-time Master’s program at UCL by early June 2025.
Note:

- Applications from individuals already residing in the UK or EU are not accepted.
- Special provisions exist for asylum seekers, refugees, or those under Ukraine visa schemes through alternative UCL scholarships or student finance.
