Kyushu University, one of Japan’s top-ranked institutions, has announced the opening of applications for the Tasaka Scholarship 2025. This highly competitive scholarship provides substantial financial support to outstanding privately funded international students from Asian countries east of India.

Scholarship Benefits
The scholarship provides significant financial support to students. Undergraduate students receive a monthly stipend of 180,000 yen, while graduate students receive 200,000 yen per month. The scholarship duration spans from April 2025 to March 2026.
Additionally, scholars who demonstrate excellent academic performance and active engagement with the Foundation’s programs may have their scholarships extended up to the standard term of study, subject to an annual review.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Must be a privately funded international student from an Asian country east of India.
- Must be under 30 years old as of April 1, 2025.
- Must require financial assistance for studies and not be receiving any other scholarships.
- Must maintain good academic and personal standing and be in good health.
- Must have passed JLPT N1.
- Must be able to contribute to international understanding, friendship, and goodwill.
- Must attend scholarship exchange meetings and participate in art and culture-related exchange programs.
