Who is Eligible?
To qualify for the IDEX Master’s Scholarship, applicants must meet the following eligibility criteria:
- Must be an international student admitted to a Master’s programme at Université Paris-Saclay.
- Should not have been enrolled in any degree program in France before (exceptions apply).
- Must be under 30 years old during the selection year.
- Students residing in France for less than a year may apply if they are currently enrolled in language courses or a non-degree training programme.
- Students who participated in mobility programs like Erasmus Mundus without obtaining a French degree are eligible.
How to Apply? Application Process
Unlike other scholarships, the IDEX Master’s Scholarship does not accept direct applications. Instead, the process is as follows:
- Admission to a Master’s Program: First, apply for admission to an eligible Master’s programme at Université Paris-Saclay here https://www.universite-paris-saclay.fr/en/admission/bourses-et-aides-financieres/international-masters-scholarships-program-idex.
- Selection by Program Coordinators: The admission panel will shortlist eligible students.
- Invitation Email: Only selected students will receive an official invitation email with a scholarship application link.
- Submission of Required Documents: Complete the online application form. and provide the contact details of two academic referees (professors, internship supervisors, etc.).
- Recommendation Letters: The referees will receive a link to submit their recommendations before the deadline.
- Final Review & Selection: The scholarship committee will evaluate applications based on academic excellence, research potential, and motivation.
- Scholarship Offer Notification: Results will be announced via email in late June 2025.
Important: Applications without both recommendation letters will be automatically rejected.
Application Timeline
- May 5, 2025 – Deadline for programme coordinators to select candidates.
- May 9, 2025 – Scholarship application deadline (for selected students).
- May 12, 2025 – Last day for referees to submit recommendation letters.
- Late June 2025 – Final scholarship results announcement.
