This comprehensive scholarship supports outstanding students, providing them with financial aid and opportunities to become transformative leaders in agriculture and agribusiness sectors.

The TAGDev 2.0 Programme (2023-2033) aims to strengthen universities and TVET institutions to enhance their contributions to Africa’s agricultural and economic transformation. This scholarship provides full support to young Africans who are economically disadvantaged but academically talented, helping them pursue undergraduate and postgraduate degrees at Gulu University, Uganda.

Gulu University Scholarship Benefits
This is a fully-funded scholarship at Gulu university that covers:

- Research costs
- Workshop and conference expenses
- Living expenses (stipend and hostel fees)
- Laptop for studies
- Internship and community engagement attachments
- Entrepreneurship training.
Additional Support for Refugees, IDPs, and PWDs

- PWDs will be provided with assistive devices for learning and mobility.

Master’s Degrees

- MSc in Environmental Science and Natural Resources Management
- MSc in Agri-Enterprises Development
- MSc in Food Security and Community Nutrition
- MSc in Agronomy.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for this prestigious scholarship at Gulu University, applicants must:
Be a national of Uganda or from East African countries implementing the East Africa Higher Education Protocol (Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi, South Sudan).

- Be economically disadvantaged, from marginalized communities, and/or from conflict/post-conflict areas.
- Be below 30 years old (undergraduate applicants) and below 35 years old (master’s applicants) at the time of application.
- Have completed secondary school or a diploma for undergraduate programs within the last two years. (For refugees and IDPs, this period extends to four years.)
- Meet the admission criteria for the selected degree program at Gulu University.
- Show interest in agriculture, agribusiness, and entrepreneurship.
- Demonstrate leadership potential and a commitment to community transformation.
- Applicants already on another scholarship are NOT eligible.
- Former TAGDev Scholarship beneficiaries are NOT eligible.
The last date to apply for the TAGDev 2.0 Scholarship at Gulu University is April 1, 2025.
