WFSA Scholarships 2026 for World Congress of Anaesthesiologists (WCA)

The World Federation of Societies of Anaesthesiologists (WFSA) is thrilled to announce the WCA 2026 Scholarships, offering early-career anaesthesiologists from low- and middle-income countries the chance to attend the 19th World Congress of Anaesthesiologists (WCA) in Marrakech, Morocco, from 15-19 April 2026. This fully funded congress brings together specialists from 130+ countries, providing an unparalleled platform for networking, learning, and showcasing research.

What Does the Scholarship Cover?

Selected scholars will receive full financial support, including:

  • Round-trip airfare to Marrakech, Morocco.
  • Visa application fees covered.
  • Accommodation for six nights.
  • Daily subsistence allowance for meals and expenses.
  • Full Congress registration.
  • Workshop allowance to participate in specialized training sessions.
  • Access to exclusive networking events with global experts.

Who Can Apply?

To be eligible for this life-changing opportunity, applicants must:

  • Be qualified anaesthesiologists who completed their training within the last five years.
  • Be active members of their National Society of Anaesthesiologists.
  • Reside in a low- or middle-income country.
  • Have at least a basic understanding of English to fully engage in the Congress.
  • Not have previously received a WFSA scholarship.

Preference Will Be Given To:

  • Early-career anaesthesiologists.
  • Applicants working in teaching hospitals.
  • Applicants who have submitted an abstract for WCA 2026 (submission deadline: 30 September 2025).
