Macquarie Group has officially opened applications for its 2025 Macquarie Sports Scholarship Program, an exclusive opportunity for Australian and New Zealand citizen-athletes to bridge the gap between sport and corporate success. If you’ve competed at the state or national level within the last three years and have a budding interest in banking and finance, this scholarship is tailored for you.
What’s in it for you?
Selected scholars will:
- Complete an 11-week paid summer internship within one of Macquarie’s business groups.
- Build a strong professional network with past scholarship alumni, industry experts, and sporting organizations.
- Volunteer in community sports programs run by Macquarie Sports.
- Gain real-world experience and exposure to impactful, skill-building projects in financial services.

Who Should Apply?
Macquarie is looking for:
- Athletes with national or state-level representation in any sport within the past three years.
- Students showing strong academic performance.
- Individuals not currently in full-time employment and interested in finance and banking careers.
- Applicants available for internship during the specified period.
- Students from any degree background are welcome.
