The Agricultural Products Scholarship Fund and Marine Fish Scholarship Fund – Tertiary Education Awards are now open for the 2025 intake, offering a golden opportunity for aspiring students who want to study in Hong Kong or abroad!
Purpose and Vision
Established in 1978, these prestigious scholarships aim to support the education and training of:
- Individuals currently working in Hong Kong’s agriculture, agricultural products marketing, marine fisheries, or fish marketing industries – or their family members and dependents;
- Students who wish to enter these industries and contribute to their advancement.
Who Can Apply?
To qualify, applicants must:
- Hold the right of abode in Hong Kong or have legally resided in Hong Kong continuously for three full years immediately before their course begins.
- Be enrolled full-time in a recognized undergraduate or sub-degree course at:
- A local institution covered under the Tertiary Student Finance Scheme – Publicly-funded Programmes, or
- An accredited overseas university.
- Note: Students enrolled in second bachelor’s degrees, postgraduate, or research programs are not eligible.
Applicants must also meet one of the following criteria:
- Be involved in Hong Kong’s agriculture/marine-related industries (or be dependents/family of someone who is), pursuing approved fields of study;
- Be students wishing to join these industries and enrolling in courses approved by the Fund’s Trustee.

Application Timeline
The application process for undergraduate scholarships at the University of Dundee for the 2026 entry begins with the earliest deadline on 30 July 2025 for the Jainti Dass Saggar Memorial Scholarship, followed by the Alumni and GEMS Scholarships closing on 31 July 2025.
Applicants for the Dow Memorial Trust Scholarship in Medicine must apply by 1 August 2025, while the Dentistry scholarship deadline is 5 September 2025. The majority of regional scholarships, including the Vice Chancellor’s Scholarships, as well as the Global Excellence and Global Citizenship Scholarships for September 2025 entry, have a deadline of 31 August 2025.
For those applying to the January 2026 intake, the Global Citizenship Scholarship deadline is 30 November 2025, and the Global Excellence Scholarship closes on 13 December 2025.
