BNU Global Young Scholarship Forum 2025 Open
Beijing Normal University (BNU) warmly invites outstanding young scholars from around the globe to participate in its prestigious Global Young Scholars Forum 2025. The 6th edition of this major academic gathering took place in late 2024 and early 2025, attracting participants both in person and online. The forum featured academic presentations, workshops, and talent policy discussions, serving as a central platform for BNU’s global talent recruitment initiatives.

About the Overseas Outstanding Young Scholars Program
The Excellent Young Scientists Fund (Overseas) aims to attract and support outstanding young researchers — including non-Chinese foreign nationals — who have already made notable achievements in natural sciences, engineering, and related fields. Successful candidates will be able to choose their own research directions and conduct innovative research at BNU, contributing to China’s scientific and technological advancement.
Objectives:
- Accelerate the growth of young scientific and technological talents
- Train academic leaders with potential to reach the forefront of global science
- Strengthen China’s position as a leading global research hub.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:
- Follow Chinese laws and uphold scientific integrity
- Be born on or after January 1, 1985
- Hold a PhD degree
- Specialize in natural sciences, engineering, or related fields
- By September 15, 2025, have at least 36 months of continuous overseas research or teaching experience in a recognized university, research institute, or R&D organization (exceptions possible for extraordinary candidates)
- Have achieved peer-recognized scientific or technological results with potential for leadership in their field
- Not yet be working full-time in China, or have returned after January 1, 2024; must commit to at least three years of full-time work in China after funding approval
Note: National-level talent plan restrictions apply — candidates can only hold one project at the same level.
