Sungkyunkwan University Graduate School Scholarships for Spring 2026
Great news for international students! Sungkyunkwan University (SKKU), one of Korea’s top universities, has officially opened the 2026 Spring 1st Round Graduate School Admissions. This is a confirmed opportunity for highly motivated students worldwide to pursue Master’s, Ph.D., or Integrated Master’s–Ph.D. programs at SKKU.
Who Can Apply?
International applicants must fall under one of these categories:
- Students with foreign citizenship whose parents also hold foreign citizenships.
- Overseas Koreans who completed their entire education outside Korea.
- North Korean refugees with a valid refugee registration certificate.
Additionally:
- Master’s/Integrated Program Applicants must hold (or expect to hold by Feb. 2026) a Bachelor’s degree.
- Ph.D. Applicants must hold (or expect to hold by Feb. 2026) a Master’s degree.
- Language requirements vary by department, with either TOPIK (Korean) or English proficiency certificates accepted.

Tuition & Scholarships
- Tuition Fees: Range from approx. ₩6,741,000 to ₩10,603,000 per semester, depending on department.
- Scholarship Opportunities:
- STEM Scholarship (Natural Sciences, Engineering, Medicine): Up to 100% tuition waiver + ₩600,000 settlement fund.
- Humanities/Social Sciences/Arts Admission Scholarships: Tuition reduction (10% to 100%) based on admission evaluation.
- Merit-based Scholarships: From the 2nd semester, GPA-based waivers (20%–50%).
- SKKU Alumni Scholarship: 20% tuition fee waiver for former SKKU students.
How to Apply?
- Submit the online application via SKKU Graduate Admissions Website.
- Upload required documents in PDF format (passport, transcripts, recommendation letters, self-introduction, study plan, language certificates).
- Accepted students will later submit original hard-copy documents via post or in person.
Application Fee: 100,000 KRW.

The application process for the 2026 Spring 1st Round Graduate School Admissions at Sungkyunkwan University begins with the submission of online applications from September 12 to October 10, 2025 (KST). Applicants who are required to take an interview or written test will do so on October 25, 2025.
The admission results will be officially announced on November 14, 2025, followed by the period for accepted students to submit their original documents between November 14 and December 3, 2025.
Successful candidates must also complete their enrollment deposit payment between November 14 and November 21, 2025, while full tuition fees are scheduled to be paid in January 2026.
