Who Can Apply?

The OECD Internship Programme is open to students who meet the following criteria:

  • Enrollment: Must be a full-time Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD student throughout the internship.
  • Fields of study: Relevant to OECD work, including economics, international relations, public policy, finance, law, environment, digitalisation, and more.
  • Language skills: Excellent command of English or French, and willingness to learn the other. Knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
  • Skills: Strong analytical, IT, communication, and drafting skills; ability to thrive in multicultural environments.
  • Eligibility: Open to students from OECD member countries and, in some cases, non-member countries (especially within affiliated bodies like the International Energy Agency or the Nuclear Energy Agency).

Interns can choose from a wide range of fields, such as:

  2. Governance-focused areas like Public Administration, Regulatory Reform, Development, and Global Relations

Application & Recruitment Process

The OECD accepts applications on a rolling basis throughout the year, allowing students to plan their start date flexibly. The process includes:

  1. Online Application (including CV and cover letter)
  2. Pre-screening & sourcing by the Internship Office
  3. Interview and/or written test
  4. Final selection and signing of the agreement

The recruitment process typically takes 1–3 months.
