Eligibility Requirements

To be considered for the Axel Adler Scholarship 2026, applicants must meet the following conditions:

• Be required to pay tuition fees in Sweden.
• Apply for a campus-based program at the University of Gothenburg as their first priority via universityadmissions.se.
• Submit a complete study application by 15 January 2026.
• Pay the application fee and provide proof of eligibility for studies no later than 2 February 2026.

Applicants enrolled in online programs are not eligible. However, programs with partial study abroad requirements or temporary distance-learning adjustments (such as those caused by pandemics) remain eligible.

2. Scholarship Invitation: Eligible applicants will receive an email around 10 February 2026 with instructions for the scholarship application.

Selection Process

The scholarship committee, consisting of academic staff, carefully evaluates applicants based on:

• Quality of the CV and Motivation Letter.
• Academic merits and how well the applicant fits the program requirements.

Each program will award one scholarship, except for the Artistic Faculty, which will award four in total across all its programs.
