How to Apply?

Applicants are strongly advised to begin preparing their materials early to ensure a smooth and complete submission. Each application must include two recommendation letters (at least one academic, written on official institutional letterhead), core academic documents listed on the KU Leuven Application Portal, proof of English language proficiency if applicable, and a motivation statement explaining the applicant’s academic goals, career ambitions, and alignment with the MAiSI program. Supporting materials outlined in the MAiSI Programme Guide should also be attached to strengthen the application.

Selection Process and Evaluation

The selection committee evaluates each candidate holistically, focusing on four key criteria. Eligibility is first verified based on academic qualifications and language requirements. Then, academic excellence and relevant professional experience are reviewed to assess suitability for the program. The motivation and understanding section evaluates the applicant’s clarity of purpose and how well their goals align with the program’s ethical and interdisciplinary mission. Finally, performance during the online interview plays a decisive role in final rankings and scholarship awards. Only top-performing candidates will receive admission and funding offers

Last Date to Apply

The application window for the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master of Arts in Sports Ethics and Integrity Scholarship 2026 opens on 9 October 2025 (12:00 AM CET) and will close on 1 February 2026 (12:00 AM CET). Shortlisted candidates will be invited for online interviews between February and March 2026, where they will have the opportunity to present their motivation and academic background.
