The Governments of Canada and Saskatchewan have officially announced the opening of applications for the 2026 Agriculture Student Scholarship, designed to recognize and support the next generation of agricultural leaders. About the Scholarship
The Agriculture Student Scholarship is a yearly initiative jointly funded by Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada and the Government of Saskatchewan under the Sustainable Canadian Agricultural Partnership (Sustainable CAP). This five (05) year program (2023–2028), with an investment of $3.5 billion, focuses on enhancing the competitiveness, innovation, and resilience of Canada’s agriculture and agri-food sectors. It includes $1 billion in federal programs and a $2.5 billion cost-shared investment between federal and provincial governments.

Participants can choose between a 3-minute creative video or a 1,000-word essay to showcase their vision for a stronger and more sustainable agricultural future in Saskatchewan.
